1. Warranty Exclusions
Our repair warranty does not cover the following (including but not limited to):
- Software-related issues, including operating system faults, configuration errors, or software corruption.
- Accidental or physical damage, misuse, or tampering with the device after repair.
- General wear and tear, including replacement of accessories such as keyboards, mice, or chargers.
- Damage caused by power surges, liquid ingress, static discharge, or external forces such as voltage spikes or phone line surges.
- Issues with third-party peripherals or software not originally supplied or supported by the manufacturer or Phone Parts NZ.
- Repairs required due to faults from other components not related to the service provided.
2. Business Use Disclaimer
For devices used in a commercial or business setting, Phone Parts NZ will not be held liable for any consequential loss or damage, including loss of data, productivity, revenue, or interruption of business resulting from repair delays or faults.
3. Service Charges
- Our standard service rate is $50 + GST per hour.
- A minimum diagnostic/assessment fee of $30 + GST applies to all jobs.
- If a customer declines or cancels a repair after receiving a quote, the diagnostic fee ($50 + GST) is non-refundable.
4. Data Responsibility
- It is the customer’s sole responsibility to back up all personal data before submitting a device for repair.
- Phone Parts NZ is not responsible for data loss, corruption, or recovery during or after the repair process.
- Data recovery services are not included under any repair warranty.
5. Unclaimed Equipment
- Devices that remain uncollected 6 months after notification of job completion will be considered abandoned and disposed of without further notice.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure timely collection of their repaired device.
